Economic Daily-China Economic Net, Beijing, May 21 (Reporter Ai Fang) The "New Generation Artificial Intelligence Core Technology Forum" of the Second World Intelligence Conference was held in Tianjin recently. The conference focused on the theme of the development of the next-generation artificial intelligence, including the four major platforms of the country's next-generation artificial intelligence open innovation. At the meeting, more than 10 top technology scholars, scientists, and government and business leaders from the artificial intelligence industry spoke at the meeting.
In recent years, China's artificial intelligence industry has shown a good momentum of accelerated development, and the industry scale has continued to grow. As of the end of 2017, there were more than 2,000 artificial intelligence companies in China, including Jiangsu, Beijing, Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. At present, the number of patents in the field of artificial intelligence in China accounts for 22% of the world. In 2017, the scale of China's artificial intelligence core industry exceeded 70 billion yuan. With the introduction of relevant national plans, artificial intelligence-related construction in various places will gradually start. It is expected that by 2020, the scale of China's artificial intelligence core industry will exceed 160 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 26.2%.
This "new generation artificial intelligence core technology forum" mainly focuses on hot areas such as autonomous driving, urban brain, medical imaging, and intelligent speech, talks about new technologies, and discusses the current state of artificial intelligence development and future technology trends. At the forum, the speech delivered by Academician Yu Yixin of Tianjin University on the 21st Century Smart Grid received warm response from the audience. Academician Wu Yixin believes that the construction of a beautiful China requires a high proportion of renewable wind and solar power. At present, China's new energy construction has achieved remarkable results, but there are still issues such as the intermittentness, variability and uncertainty of wind and solar energy, and the price of energy storage. High technical difficulties, the troubled industry further develops. In the future, with the advancement of smart grid projects and the development of next-generation artificial intelligence technology, terminal integrated energy systems will definitely be realized.
Tao Ji, Baidu ’s director of autonomous driving technology, showed Baidu ’s latest generation of mass-produced intelligent driving cars, Apollo, at the forum, saying that Apollo will become the world ’s most dynamic open platform for autonomous driving in the future. In the future, Apollo will gradually cooperate with the four major automobile brands of King Long Bus, JAC, BAIC Motor, and Chery Automobile to combine their own artificial intelligence advantages and Internet experience with the traditional automotive industry to create a new model of smart cars.
At the conference, Shi Luo, the chief natural language scientist of machine intelligence at Alibaba Dharma Institute, demonstrated the achievements of Alibaba in the research and development of natural language intelligence. At present, Alibaba's main research directions in natural language intelligence include basic technologies of natural language intelligence, machine translation, text mining, and semantic computing. Siluo said that e-commerce is the aorta of Alibaba's development, and other customers' evaluation of products is the best way to stimulate user consumption. Through Alibaba's natural language intelligence, users can quickly find the products they want, and This product best meets the expected evaluation. The development of natural language intelligence is the core competitiveness of the e-commerce industry.
It is understood that the "New Generation Artificial Intelligence Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance" was initiated by Peking University in conjunction with enterprises, colleges and universities, and investment institutions in the artificial intelligence industry. The main members of the alliance include Peking University, Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology of China, and Haier , Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, Huawei, HKUST Xunfei and other nearly 100 well-known domestic companies in the field of artificial intelligence, aiming to accelerate the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology and industry across the country. During the meeting, relying on the "New Generation Artificial Intelligence Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance", the Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Commission, the People's Government of Dongli District and Haier Digital Technology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build the COSMOPlat Industrial Internet Tianjin Regional platform.
